Edgar was born in New England, raised in Northern New Jersey, and lived in New York City and Chicago, IL before landing in Rochester. Having experience working with varied groups from individuals involved in the justice system to people living with HIV/AIDS, he has always had a passion to work with marginalized populations.
Earning a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Communications from St. Peter’s University, it was evident from the beginning that Edgar wanted to study the development and functions of different societal groups. While living in Chicago, Edgar earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago—School of Social Service Administration.
Edgar enjoys the direct interaction with people in the community and being of assistance and a support for individuals to achieve their respective goals.
