Emily Hessney Lynch is the Interim Executive Director of Cameron. Emily first volunteered at Cameron when she was just 16 years old and has remained involved in some capacity ever since! Emily organized volunteering days for University of Rochester alumni and followers of the I Heart ROC blog, planned book drives for the Teen Center, and joined the Cameron Board in 2019. She served as Vice Chair during the COVID pandemic in 2020 and stepped into the role of Board Chair in 2021.
Previously, Emily worked at the University of Rochester in their financial aid department, and at NextCorps, a nonprofit tech startup incubator, as their Digital Marketing & Communications Manager. In 2019, Emily launched her own business, Serve Me the Sky Digital, where she specializes in helping nonprofits develop creative and effective social media strategies. She has also dabbled in public health by working as a contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Emily holds a Bachelor’s in English & History from the University of Rochester and a Master’s in Educational Administration from the Warner School. She lives in the North Winton Village and loves reading, writing, and spending time with her husband and their two rescue dogs.
